I had previously got quotes from a couple big names who regularly advertise on the TV, and for the quantity of windows required in my property it was way over my budget. I also received a quote from another company who I'd never heard of, which came to £8k!!! That same company tried to then bully me into making a decision there and then, which they were highly unsuccessful with, and were subsequently told to get out of the house! Disgraceful to know that this kind of company will trick and pressure older or less aware people into accepting this outrageous offer.
I was then given Allerton Windows's number by a client of mine who uses them for a lot of property development work. I will always consider a local company where possible so I rang them and they came out within 2 days to provide a quote, which was well within my budget. I was expecting to wait over a month before the windows would be fitted like all other companies have advised, but they gave me a work commencement date of less than 2 weeks!
As for the work, it was absolutely faultless. They worked tirelessly on both days to get the work done in the bitterly cold temperatures, cleaning up as they went so as to minimise any mess. They left on the second day and it was almost as if they hadn't even been there! I previously had old wooden framed double glazing which came with the property, and for me personally, the improvement their windows have made already is pretty amazing. Can't recommend them enough. The quality of their work and attention to detail is very pleasing. I will definitely be using them for any window/door related jobs in the future

We recently had our windows and doors replaced By Allerton Windows who were a joy to have work on our house. The installation team were tremendous from start to finish including the cavalry who turned up on the last day to help complete the job on time. It’s very rare that uPVC French doors will crack, and the reason for this is usually poor installation. It is possible that uPVC French doors fade due to sun exposure. That being said, this happens over a long period of time, giving the colour of your French doors a lifeline of around 15 years.

The bottom line is no paint is scratch resistant. But some paints are harder than others. Every one of our professionals takes extra care not to damage your new French doors during installation, and you should take care not to scratch the doors and frames yourself to keep them looking brand new.
In short, yes you can. However, we suggest not to, since uPVC is not designed to be painted and therefore needs extra care such as specific paint requirements.
Whilst it is possible to do so, we don’t recommend that you attempt to fit them yourself. You wouldn’t want to risk compromising the security of your home by installing them on your own. Improper installation can also void warranties.

Fortunately, uPVC is super easy to clean. If the inside of your French doors gets a little grubby or dusty, simply wipe them with warm water and dish soap. A proper wash of the exterior side twice a year is sufficient enough to keep your new doors gleaming. We also recommend keeping the latches, hinges, drain holes and tracks free from debris with a little dust now and again.
Taking care of your new doors, keeping them cleaned and dusted as required and following our aftercare advice can mean your new French doors will last around 30 years.
